Media figure Ahmed Shobir revealed the truth about Al Ahly's negotiations with former Fenerbahçe coach Jose Mourinho.
Shobir stated in television remarks: "The rumors circulating about Al Ahly entering negotiations with Mourinho are unfounded."
He added: "Al Ahly is looking to contract a coach with specific qualifications, suitable, perhaps not at astronomical prices, but professional and reasonably priced, confirming that the club is ready to pay up to 4 million dollars annually."
The management of Al Ahly, led by club president Mahmoud El Khatib, has decided to appoint Emad Nassar as interim coach until a new foreign coach is settled on.
