
Damac Signs Riyad Sharhili on Loan from Neom
Damac Club confirmed on Tuesday, via its official account on the "X" platform, the signing of midfielder Riyad Sharhili from Neom on a loan basis until the end of the current season, making it the team's 14th deal in the summer transfer window.
The club explained on its website that the inclusion of Sharhili is part of the management's efforts to strengthen the team roster with names capable of providing on-field contributions, in line with the fans' aspirations for positive results this season.
Sharhili participated last season with Neom in the "Yellow" League for first division clubs, where he played 14 matches, delivering a remarkable performance that caught the attention of officials from clubs looking to strengthen their squads.
Sharhili began his football career in the youth categories of Al-Nassr Club, before progressing to the first team, then moving to several clubs including Al-Fateh, Al-Tai, Al-Faisaly, and Al-Adalah, and he shone with Abha, securing a spot on the Saudi national team, before playing for Al-Shabab and then joining Neom.
Damac continues its intensive reinforcement policy this summer, having previously announced 13 other signings, including Morlaye Sylla from Arouca in Portugal, Hassan Rabi from Al-Ain, Moataz Al-Baqaawi from Al-Tai, Khalid Al-Sameri from Al-Khaleej, and Valentin Vada from Rubin Kazan in Russia.
The team also signed Nabil Aliwi from Adanaspor in Turkey, Yaku Miti from Cardiff City in Wales, Yahya Al-Najai from Al-Wahda, Jamal Harkas from Wydad Casablanca, along with Kewin Silva from Moreirense in Portugal, Ahmed Omar from Ahad, and David Kaiki from the reserve team of Racing Strasbourg in France, closing its deals with the 14th signing.
