Marseille Moves to Sign Benfica Player and Faces Difficulties in Ceballos Deal
Tuesday 26-08-2025
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on his official account on the platform 'X' that French club Marseille has submitted an official offer to Portuguese club Benfica to sign midfielder Florentino Luis.

The French club is seeking to acquire the player on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, in a move aimed at strengthening the team's midfield before the end of the current summer transfer window.

On the other hand, negotiations with Spanish club Real Madrid regarding Dani Ceballos remain stalled, as Marseille believes the amount requested by the royal club, which is around 15 million euros, is excessively high.

Marseille continues to search for solutions to strengthen its squad, as it aims to build a team capable of competing both domestically and in Europe, with the management focusing on signing players who can provide the necessary technical contributions.
