Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos of Real Madrid is nearing a departure from Santiago Bernabéu this summer, with Olympique Marseille being the closest to signing him, ahead of other offers, notably from Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed that the agreement with Marseille is moving towards a loan deal extending until the summer of 2026, with an option for a permanent purchase, while journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the player is a primary target for the French team.

According to "ESPN", Real Madrid has not yet received an official offer, while the royal club insists on obtaining a suitable financial compensation, with coach Xabi Alonso demanding a replacement be found before allowing his departure from midfield.

Speculation about Ceballos's future arose after he posted a brief message on his social media accounts saying "the last dance", before quickly deleting it, which some considered a sign of his impending departure from the club.

On the Saudi side, Al-Ittihad Club has been in contact with the player's representatives to discuss the possibility of his transfer, yet Marseille remains in a strong position to close the deal, especially since Ceballos's current contract with Real Madrid runs until 2027.
