Officially.. Arsenal Announces Signing of Eberechi Eze
Arsenal Football Club announced today, Saturday, via its official website, that it has signed Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze on a long-term contract for £68 million.
The 27-year-old English international returns to North London, where he began his football career in our academy before emerging as one of the standout attacking talents in the Premier League.
Eberechi joined Queens Park Rangers in 2016 and made a notable breakthrough in the 2019/2020 season, being named QPR's Player of the Year before moving to the Premier League with Crystal Palace in 2020.
During his five seasons at Selhurst Park, Eberechi made over 150 appearances, with his defining moment coming in May when he scored the winning goal in the Eagles' historic victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
On the international stage, Eberechi represented England at youth levels before making his senior debut in 2023. Since then, he has made 11 full international appearances and was part of the Euro 2024 squad, and in March, he scored his first international goal in his team's 3-0 win over Latvia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Head coach Mikel Arteta said: "We are very happy to welcome Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a strong and exciting player, and he will give us a new dimension to our attacking style. What stands out about him, just like his talent and intelligence as a player, is his hard work throughout his career to reach where he is today.
He added: "His journey, mentality, and ambition are exactly what we want in our team, and we are pleased with how significant his joining our club is for him and his family. We all look forward to starting to work with Eberechi soon.
Eberechi will wear the number 10 shirt and will join his new teammates after this weekend's match against Leeds United.
