The Port Club delegation arrived this Thursday morning in the Tunisian city of Sousse to begin an external training camp that will last until the third of September, as part of its preparations for the new season of the Iraqi Premier League.

During the camp, the team will play four friendly matches against various Tunisian clubs, through which the coaching staff, led by the coach, aims to enhance the players' physical and technical readiness and test the ideal combination before returning to official competitions.

The squad traveling to Tunisia saw the absence of Ammar Ali and Zain Al-Abidin Jassim due to their joining the youth national team, alongside Muslim Mousa and Karrar Jafar, who are linked with the Iraqi Olympic team preparing for the Under-23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

The squad included 24 players, led by goalkeeper Abdul Salim Hamadi, along with Ali Abadi and Abdullah Ghazi for goalkeeping duties. In defense, the team featured Faisal Jassim, the Tunisian Diaa Al-Din Juwaini, Mujtaba Ali, Haidar Ahmed, Mehdi Hashim, Abbas Yas, Muqtada Haidar Aziz, and Najm Shwan. The midfield included Murtada Mallas, the professional Klinch Lovelo, Ahmed Mahmoud, Hassan Hamid, Kaysinda, Hussein Maki, the Moroccan Reda Magi, and Ali Al-Sajjad. In attack, the players were Muhannad Ali, the Nigerian Belief Ayayi, the Jordanian Mohammed Abdul Muttalib Pogba, Mohammed Qasim, and Mahmoud Khalil.

The Port Club hopes that this camp will be an important station to enhance the harmony between its local and professional elements and set the team on the right path before embarking on the new season, in which the club aspires to achieve positive results that satisfy its fans.
