Tottenham Moves to Sign Savinho After Failed Eze Deal

Thursday 21-08-2025
Reports have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur is intensifying its negotiations with Manchester City to sign the young Brazilian winger Savinho during the ongoing summer transfer window.

This move comes after Spurs failed to secure the deal for Eberechi Eze, the Crystal Palace star, who opted to join Arsenal, the club he supported as a child, despite being close to joining Tottenham earlier.

Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated on his official account on the platform 'X' that Tottenham is still seeking Manchester City's approval for the deal.

Romano mentioned that Manchester City's management is currently hindering the transfer as they wish to retain Savinho, but Tottenham is pushing hard to acquire him.

He also pointed out that Thomas Frank, Tottenham's head coach, is one of the biggest admirers of the Brazilian player's potential.

Savinho, who is 21 years old, participated in 48 matches last season across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists.
