French media reports have revealed that AS Monaco is considering Algerian international Hicham Boudaoui, a midfielder for Nice, as an option to compensate for the potential departure of their Swiss player Denis Zakaria to the Saudi league.

According to L'Équipe, Monaco's management is awaiting the resolution of Zakaria's future, who is in negotiations with Al Ahli Saudi, where Boudaoui will become the primary target for replacement, given the coaching staff's belief in his abilities and potential.

Sources have indicated that Nice is keen on retaining their Algerian player, considering him one of the key pillars of their squad; however, Monaco may resort to making an enticing offer that would be hard to refuse should their captain leave for Al Ahli.

It is worth noting that Boudaoui, who is 25 years old, is still under contract with Nice until the summer of 2027, which could complicate negotiations between the two clubs during the current transfer window.
