Real Betis Shows Interest in Signing Casado

Real Betis has shown interest in signing young Barcelona player Marc Casado this summer, searching for a replacement pivot after the departure of Joni Cardoso to Atletico Madrid, but the deal quickly stumbled.

Despite the strong ties between the two clubs, Barcelona refused to discuss Casado's departure, as he does not wish to leave, and the club has set his price at 30 million euros, which is an amount Betis cannot afford. Additionally, the idea of buying a percentage of the player's contract, which Betis prefers, is rejected by the Blaugrana management.

Casado, who stood out last season, is currently facing tough competition for his position, especially with coach Hans Flick relying on Frenkie de Jong and the possibility of including Gavi in the same position, along with the nearing readiness of Marc Bernal, who is considered one of Flick's future bets.

Despite receiving previous offers from the English league and Atletico Madrid, Casado has informed Barcelona's management of his desire to stay and fight for a place in the starting lineup, even if he does not participate in the opening match of the league against Mallorca.
