Shobeir: One of Ahly's Biggest Gains is Zamalek's Draw Against Contractors
Sunday 17-08-2025
Media figure Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that Ahly benefited from Zamalek's draw against Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab in yesterday's match.

The match ended in a goalless draw between Zamalek and Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab, which took place last night, Saturday, in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Shobeir stated in radio comments today, Sunday: "Ahly's gains are that they have risen to second place behind Al-Masry, scoring 6 goals and conceding 3, meaning they have a goal difference of three."

He added: "Also, one of Ahly's most important gains is that Zamalek drew, so the points difference doesn't widen, and there won't be pressure on you. But after Zamalek's draw, the burden was lifted early."

Shobeir continued: "Ahly also reassured about the substitutes after they came in and performed well, like Ben Sharqi, Diang, and Gradychar. However, another gain for Ahly is that the coach insisted on his playing style, which is building the attack from the back, even though he hasn't faced a team that pressures him strongly like Zamalek or Pyramids might. But it's commendable for coach Ribeiro that he is sticking to his method and playing with it.
