Erbil club announced the completion of the contract procedures with midfielder Ali Shakwan, marking a new return for the star to the team after a period spent with Al Quwa Al Jawiya, as part of the efforts of "the sons of Hawler" to strengthen their squad before the upcoming football season.

Shakwan, who is 22 years old, joined Al Quwa Al Jawiya on July 22, 2024, coming from Erbil, in a deal that had previously sparked the interest of fans from both teams. However, his career with "the Falcons" came during a season described as the toughest in the club's history, where Al Quwa Al Jawiya had one of its worst seasons ever, which affected the team's results and the performance of many of its players, including Shakwan.

The player's return to Erbil comes amid great welcome from the club's management and its fans, as he is seen as one of the elements possessing a mix of experience and knowledge of the playing style adopted by the team, in addition to his previous harmony with his former teammates. He is expected to play a pivotal role in midfield, both defensively and offensively, benefiting from his experience in the Iraqi Premier League and his time with one of its largest clubs.
