Roma Approaches Agreement with Manchester City for Echeverri
Tuesday 12-08-2025
It seems that the Italian club Roma has become ready to accept Manchester City's terms regarding the acquisition of the young Argentine talent Claudio Echeverri during the current summer transfer window, through a direct loan deal without a purchase option.

According to Italian media reports, Manchester City previously rejected an offer from Roma that included a loan with a purchase option along with a buy-back clause, preferring to send the player to one of its partner clubs, such as Girona in Spain, in a direct loan deal.

Echeverri, who is 19 years old, made his debut with Manchester City in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace and also scored a goal in the Club World Cup during his participation with the team.

Roma, which is looking to strengthen its attacking line before the transfer market closes, sees Echeverri as an ideal option, especially with the opportunity for him to participate in the Europa League, a factor that could tip the scales in favor of the Giallorossi compared to Girona, which is not participating in any European competition this season.

At the same time, Roma continues to explore other attacking options, with reports indicating interest in permanently acquiring Wolverhampton striker Fabio Silva.
