Mouloudia Algiers Plans to Reclaim Youssef Belaïli
Tuesday 12-08-2025
The name of Algerian international Youssef Belaïli has returned to dominate the football scene in Algeria, after the newspaper Compétition revealed serious moves by Mouloudia Algiers to reclaim their former star during the current summer transfer window.

Despite Belaïli's previous statements confirming his continuation with Tunisian club Esperance and leading the team to win the Super Cup, his future has remained uncertain since the end of last season, amid fluctuating events including his boycott of training and then his return, along with his statements expressing a desire to return to Mouloudia, before facing a financial penalty and reaffirming his stay at 'Bab Souika'.

According to the newspaper, Mouloudia Algiers is planning to present a respectable financial offer to Esperance, relying on the sale of their Burkinabe player Mohamed Zougrana for about 1.6 million euros, and directing a large part of this amount towards the Belaïli deal.

On the other hand, Esperance is insisting on receiving one million euros to part ways with the player, especially since his contract extends until the summer of 2026, which gives them a strong position in the negotiations.

Reports also indicate that Belaïli does not intend this time to clash with his club's management, to avoid any repercussions that could distance him from competition or reduce his chances of representing Algeria in upcoming competitions.
