Leipzig Close to Snatching Dortmund's Target
The German club Leipzig is close to snatching an attacking target from its local league rival Borussia Dortmund.
According to journalist Philip Henzi, Leipzig has reached a verbal agreement with Fabio Silva, the striker from Wolverhampton.
He noted that Leipzig is currently negotiating with the English club on the terms of the contract for the Portuguese striker.
Silva, who is 23 years old, joined Wolverhampton in 2020 from Porto for about 35 million, in a deal that garnered attention at the time.
After struggling with the Wolves, he was loaned to Anderlecht in Belgium, PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Rangers in Scotland, and finally last season to Las Palmas in Spain, where he performed well.
