The Truth About Manchester City's Offer to Sign Rodrigo
Tuesday 12-08-2025
Brazilian Rodrigo continues to be part of Real Madrid, despite rising news about Manchester City's interest in signing him during the summer transfer window, according to what was published by the newspaper 'Marca'. So far, the royal club has not received any official offer to sign the player, nor has Rodrigo expressed a desire to leave.

Rodrigo, who is 24 years old, has a contract with Real Madrid until 2028, and he has participated in 267 matches, scoring 68 goals and assisting 46. He is considered one of the prominent attacking talents, but he is waiting for clarity on his role with the new coach Xabi Alonso in the coming months.

Pep Guardiola had previously made a call to the player in 2024 after the two teams faced each other in the Champions League, to present Manchester City's project to him. Although City seems ready to make room for him, the signing step requires an offer of no less than 100 million euros, which has not happened yet.

Rodrigo knows that his regular participation this season will be crucial to secure his place with the Brazilian national team in the 2026 World Cup, making his near future linked to the number of minutes the coaching staff will grant him, whether in Madrid or at a new club.
