Brazilian Eder Militão, defender of Real Madrid, sent an emotional message following his successful surgery after the injury he recently suffered.

Real Madrid had announced that Militão underwent surgery due to a torn knee ligament sustained during the team's match against Alavés in the last round.

The player posted a message on his Instagram account saying: 'Those who live with me know my dedication and effort to be in the best physical condition, but unfortunately, I must take care of my body to be able to play with Real Madrid and the national team with full confidence.'

He added: 'I thank everyone who sent messages of support and affection, as well as everyone who stands by me, my family, my children, and my wife. The battle continues because the best is yet to come.'

According to Spanish press reports, Militão is expected to be out of action for up to five months, confirming his absence from the 2026 World Cup with the Brazilian national team.
