Al-Nasr Plans to Strengthen Its Defense with Two Deals from Al-Ettifaq
Al-Nasr Club has begun serious steps to contract defender Abdullah Madou, the current player of Al-Ettifaq, as part of its efforts to bolster the backline ahead of the new season.
The Saudi sports newspaper reported that negotiations between Al-Nasr and Al-Ettifaq are still ongoing regarding the purchase of Madou's contract, who previously represented Al-Nasr from 2012 until 2024, before moving to Al-Ettifaq.
Sources clarified that the player's contract with Al-Ettifaq extends for three more seasons, while Al-Nasr's management is seeking to regain him to benefit from his vast experience in the Saudi league.
In a related context, Al-Nasr is close to finalizing another deal with Al-Ettifaq, which is to contract the right-back Radi Al-Otaibi, after obtaining preliminary approval from his club's management to release his services.
The newspaper revealed that Al-Ettifaq has set the required amount to complete the deal, with negotiations proceeding smoothly between the two parties, making Al-Otaibi close to joining Al-Nasr's roster, which has recently included Nader Al-Sharari, Abdul Malik Al-Jaber, Joao Felix, and Inigo Martinez, with the contract with Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich nearing completion.
