Liverpool Rejects Keiza's Departure Despite Interest from Italian Clubs
Tuesday 12-08-2025
Liverpool FC has refused to let go of its Italian player Federico Keiza during the current summer transfer window, despite attempts from several Italian clubs to acquire him.

The newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that Inter Milan and Napoli have shown interest in signing Keiza in recent days, but their attempts have not received a response from the English club. The newspaper explained that the player had a direct meeting with coach Arne Slot, and his agent met with Liverpool officials, where the management confirmed its insistence on keeping Keiza due to the team's need for wingers given the limited options in this position.

The newspaper added that Keiza's contract with Liverpool extends for three more seasons after joining the Reds last summer, but he has not had many opportunities to participate regularly.

Despite the approaching end of the transfer market, Liverpool has not opened the door for the Italian international's departure so far. The report stated that Keiza is considered an ideal option for coach Antonio Conte, and the player would not mind returning to Italy to prove himself again and compete for a starting position in the Italian national team.
