The management of Al-Qadisiyah Club has submitted an official objection to the Saudi Football Federation regarding Al-Ahli's participation in the Super Cup, based on its legal opinion which indicates the team's right to advance directly to the final.
The Saudi Football Federation had confirmed Al-Ahli's participation in the Saudi Super Cup instead of Al-Hilal, which decided not to participate in the tournament to gain more rest after its participation in the Club World Cup.
Al-Qadisiyah stated in its announcement: "After legal consultations, the club's management submits an objection to the Football Federation regarding Al-Ahli's participation in the Super Cup, citing the punishment of Al-Hilal, which means its right to advance directly to the final."
No official response has yet been issued by the Football Federation or Al-Ahli Club regarding this objection.
