Al Ahly Club has taken a new step in strengthening its coaching staff led by German Matthias Yahisle, by signing Saudi coach Mohamed Mas'ad to take on the role of assistant coach in preparation for the upcoming season.

The sports newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the club's management has finalized the agreement with Mas'ad to join the first team's technical staff, as part of its efforts to enhance national competencies within the coaching staff.

Mohamed Mas'ad is set to begin his coaching duties as soon as the players' vacation ends, after they return to Jeddah following the conclusion of the external training camp for the new season.

German coach Yahisle welcomed Mas'ad's addition to his coaching staff, which facilitated the negotiation process, especially since Mas'ad is considered one of the club's own and possesses a distinguished practical experience.

Mas'ad's first appearance will be during Al Ahly's preparations for the Saudi Super Cup, where the team will face Al Qadisiyah in the semifinals on August 19.

The winner of the Al Ahly and Al Qadisiyah match will advance to the final scheduled for August 23, to meet the winner of the match between Al Ittihad and Al Nassr in the tournament hosted by Hong Kong.
