Al-Zawraa Club announced its official signing of goalkeeper Hussein Hassan coming from Al-Karkh Club, in a permanent transfer deal aimed at securing the goalkeeping position for the upcoming seasons.

Hussein Hassan is considered one of the most prominent names in Iraqi football in recent years, as he serves as the starting goalkeeper for the Iraqi Olympic team, and he has previously represented Iraq in several continental and international tournaments, most notably the AFC U-23 Asian Cup and the qualifiers for the Paris Olympics, where he showcased impressive performances that caught the attention of several clubs in the Premier League.

At just 21 years old, the goalkeeper, despite his young age, possesses good experience at both local and international levels, having appeared confidently and steadily in goal for Al-Karkh, which prompted Al-Zawraa to enter direct negotiations with the club's management to finalize the deal.
