Amorim Implements Radical Reforms at Manchester United
The Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim has begun implementing radical reforms within Manchester United, seeking to change the locker room culture and build a more disciplined and professional environment, marking the beginning of a new phase under his leadership.
The British newspaper Daily Mail revealed that Amorim decided to form a leadership group within the team consisting of six players, who will play a crucial role in enforcing order and enhancing the spirit of commitment within the squad.
The group includes the official captain Bruno Fernandes, along with English defender Harry Maguire, who has previously worn the captain's armband, and Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui, whom Amorim considers a "key figure" at this stage, in addition to Argentine Lisandro Martinez, Portuguese full-back Diogo Dalot, and veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
Amorim stated in comments reported by the newspaper: "We now have a leadership group; it is no longer limited to Bruno or Harry. There are six players who bear the responsibility of the team. Some issues that I had to deal with personally last season are now their responsibilities this season. Small problems are resolved among them, and these simple changes help develop the group."
This decision is a strategic step aimed at alleviating pressure on the coaching staff and involving players in taking responsibility for discipline and guiding their teammates, in an effort to restore prestige within the club after years of decline.
