Essam Marai: Al-Ahly and Pyramids are Stronger than Zamalek
Essam Marai confirmed that Al-Ahly and Pyramids are currently stronger than Zamalek.
He said on the program "L'ibah w Taniyah" on Mega FM Radio: "At the beginning, I was happy with the signing of John Edward and the new experience and calmness, but the results in recent friendly matches are completely different from official matches."
He added: "The goal of friendly matches is always to elevate the technical level of the players, and the preparation camp for the new season will not achieve more than that due to the inability to play friendly matches with European teams."
He continued: "Zamalek is currently not like Al-Ahly and Pyramids; Al-Ahly has signed explosive and super deals, unlike Zamalek, so let's admit that Zamalek is not like Al-Ahly and Pyramids."
He further stated: "Zamalek has supported its squad in light of its technical needs and financial capabilities, and Pyramids has a squad that will compete with Al-Ahly for the Premier League title next season, but Al-Ahly and Zamalek remain the top contenders for the title in the new season."
