The French club Lille has rejected the offer made by the Saudi club Al-Nassr to sign Brazilian defender Alexandru Ribeiro during the current summer transfer window, which was valued at €25 million.

Reports confirmed that Lille rejected the offer, setting a higher financial condition to part with their distinguished defender, as the French club will not accept any offer below €40 million.

The network "TNT Sports Brasil" reported that Lille's management is still open to negotiations and expects Al-Nassr to submit a second offer, especially with the player's desire to experience a new challenge outside the French league.

Olivier Letang, the president of Lille, is considering renewing Alexandru's contract, but he does not mind negotiating if a suitable offer comes from the Saudi side that meets the required value.

Al-Nassr's interest in the Brazilian defender is based on a request from coach Jorge Jesus, who is looking to replace the expected departure of Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte to Athletic Bilbao.
