Liverpool's Stance on the Isaac Deal After Newcastle Rejected Their First Offer
Friday 01-08-2025
Reports revealed on Friday evening that Liverpool has decided not to proceed with negotiations to sign Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United during the current summer transfer window.

Reliable journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed via his account on the platform 'X' that Liverpool does not plan to make a new offer to acquire Isak after Newcastle rejected the initial offer of £110 million.

Ben Jacobs explained that Liverpool's management considers continuing negotiations to be unproductive unless Newcastle changes its stance and reaches out to the Reds again, noting that Isak's personal demands were not a barrier.

It is worth mentioning that Isak, who is 25 years old, is contracted with Newcastle until June 2028, and he participated in 42 matches across all competitions last season, scoring 27 goals and assisting 6 others.
