Wissa Attends Brentford Training but Refuses to Participate Amid Tension Over His Future
Thursday 31-07-2025
Sky Sports reported that Congolese striker Yoane Wissa arrived on time this morning at Brentford's training ground but refused to participate in training with his teammates.

The network's sources clarified that Wissa feels anger and frustration regarding the club's stance on his future, especially after returning early from the team's training camp in Portugal to hold talks with management, amid Newcastle's interest in signing him this summer.

Brentford had rejected a £25 million offer from Newcastle for the striker, emphasizing their insistence on keeping him despite agreeing to let their star Bryan Mbeumo leave for Manchester United for £71 million.

This comes at a time when the team has seen the departure of their former coach Thomas Frank and captain Christian Norgaard, while Newcastle continues to explore its options as Brentford remains firm on keeping Wissa.
