Inter Miami achieved a valuable victory against their counterpart Atlas with a score of 2-1 in the first round of the Leagues Cup, in a match held early Thursday morning.

Inter Miami took the lead through Telasco Segovia, assisted by Messi, while Atlas equalized with a goal from Rivaldo Lozano in the 80th minute.

In the 90+6 minute, Inter Miami scored the winning goal through Marcelo Weigandt, also assisted by Messi.

The Leagues Cup is held between teams from Major League Soccer against teams from the Mexican league, with each team playing 3 consecutive matches in the first round, noting that only the top 4 teams from each group advance.

It is worth mentioning that Inter Miami is currently in third place in Group A, which includes teams from Major League Soccer.
