Arsenal Begins Negotiations with Crystal Palace to Acquire Eze
European media reports revealed today, Wednesday, that Arsenal has entered into official negotiations with Crystal Palace to sign English player Eberechi Eze during the current summer transfer window, in preparation for the start of the 2025/2026 season.
Eze, who is 27 years old, is a primary target for the Gunners' management as part of the club's plan to strengthen its squad this summer.
According to transfer news journalist Ben Jacobs, Crystal Palace is demanding £35 million as an upfront payment from the £60 million release clause, in addition to another £8 million in incentives and bonuses.
Jacobs noted that Arsenal is considering making an alternative offer to avoid triggering the release clause and paying a lower amount than what Crystal Palace has proposed.
It is worth mentioning that Arsenal has completed six signings in the summer transfer market so far, the most notable of which are the acquisitions of Kepa, Zubimendi, Norgaard, Mosquera, Gyökeres, and Noni Madueke.
