The Italian club Torino officially announced its signing of Moroccan international Zakaria Aboukhlal, coming from French Toulouse, during the current summer transfer window, marking his first experience in the Italian Serie A.

According to Italian media reports, the value of the deal was 10 million euros, while Aboukhlal's new contract with Torino extends until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend for an additional season.

The Italian team is counting on the player's offensive capabilities to strengthen its front line, especially with interest from other European clubs, notably from the German Bundesliga and the English Premier League.

In a related context, despite representing the youth categories of the Dutch national team, Aboukhlal decided in 2020 to defend the colors of the Moroccan national team, and he was among the stars of the historic generation that reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He has played more than 20 international matches wearing the "Atlas Lions" jersey and scored crucial goals in the World Cup and Africa Cup qualifiers, notably against Burkina Faso and Sudan, and he is considered one of the names likely to remain in Walid Regragui's squad for upcoming tournaments.
