
Liverpool Signs First Professional Contract with Egyptian Karim Ahmed
The English club Liverpool announced today, Wednesday, the signing of the first professional contract with young Egyptian player Karim Ahmed, after his remarkable performance with the youth teams during the last season.
The club's official website clarified that Karim Ahmed, who is 18 years old, joined Liverpool's academy when he was six years old, and caught the eye since his first appearance with the under-18 team in December 2022, when he scored a goal against Bournemouth in the FA Youth Cup.
The young Egyptian player excels in both the forward and playmaker positions, and had an outstanding season with the under-18 team, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists. He is expected to participate next season 2025/2026 with the under-21 team under the management of coach Rob Page.
The club indicated that Karim Ahmed may be a candidate for promotion to the first team in the future, to join Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who had previously renewed his contract with the Reds for an additional two seasons.
