Sources have revealed that the management of Al-Ahli Saudi Club intends to officially apologize for participating in the Saudi Super Cup scheduled to be held next month in Hong Kong, following the withdrawal of Al-Hilal.

This step came based on a recommendation from German coach Matthias Jaissle, who believes that the team is still in the preparation phase and not physically and technically ready to compete in matches of this nature.

The management also expressed reservations due to the incomplete summer transfer deals, which leaves the team roster incomplete and limits the coach's options in the lineup.

The full focus will be on the official season tournaments, primarily the Roshen Saudi League, the King’s Cup, and the AFC Champions League for elite teams.

The management fears potential injuries to players due to the expected intense clashes in the tournament, which could negatively impact the team's start in the new season.
