New Decision from the Saudi League Association Before the Next Season's Draw
Tuesday 22-07-2025
The Saudi Professional League Association is preparing to adopt a new mechanism for dividing match stands, whereby the host team will receive 90% of the total stadium capacity, while the guest team will only receive 10%.

The aim of this decision is to enhance the attendance of local fans for the host clubs and to encourage local supporters to engage more, positively reflecting on the atmosphere of Saudi stadiums.

The association also seeks to organize the ticket sales process in a more efficient and professional manner, keeping pace with the significant developments in the Roshen League and the rapid increase in attendance numbers.

In a related context, the league association decided to cancel the 'Derby Round' in the new season, despite its remarkable popularity and promotional success in the previous edition of the tournament.

According to the newspaper 'Asharq Al-Awsat', the association found that the pressure of the match schedule and the difficulty of coordination between clubs prevented the continuation of the experiment, despite the belief in its effectiveness.

The association confirmed that it will work on addressing the previous shortcomings of the competition while maintaining the quality of organization and enhancing the overall image of the league both locally and internationally.

The schedule for the Roshen League matches is set to be announced in less than two weeks, with the first rounds starting on August 29, amid significant public anticipation.
