Burkinabe defender Issoufou Daio brought good news to Renaissance Berkane fans after deciding to renew his contract with the orange team for a new season, following the expiration of his previous contract at the end of last season.

Moroccan reports revealed that the management of Renaissance Berkane succeeded in convincing Daio, who is 33 years old, to continue his journey with the team, despite receiving several attractive offers from Moroccan and foreign clubs, most notably from the Saudi club Al-Ettifaq.

Issoufou Daio is considered one of the icons of Renaissance Berkane in recent years, having played a prominent role in the team's achievement of eight historic titles, including 3 Throne Cups, 3 African Confederation Cup titles, a Moroccan league title, and an African Super Cup title.

Daio's continuation with the team is viewed as a strong addition to the defensive system, thanks to his extensive experience and leadership both on and off the field.

Renewing his contract has also restored hope to Renaissance Berkane fans for a successful new season, as they retain one of the team's key pillars.
