Renaissance Berkane is heading towards extending the contract of its defender and captain Youssoufa Daio for an additional season, in a move aimed at strengthening the technical and defensive stability within the team ahead of the upcoming season, which will see the team return to participate in the African Champions League.

According to Moroccan reports, club president Hakim Ben Abdullah held a meeting with Daio that resulted in a preliminary agreement to extend the player's contract, who has been one of the key pillars in the orange team's lineup for several seasons.

This move is part of the management's policy to maintain the core of the team, in light of the continued presence of the duo Abdelhak Assal and Osama Hadadi, in preparation for the challenges of the national championship and continental competitions.
