Sofyan Amrabat Disrupts Fenerbahçe's Plans
Saturday 19-07-2025
The Turkish club Fenerbahçe has entered a real predicament due to the stance of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, who is no longer part of coach José Mourinho's plans for the upcoming season. However, at the same time, he refuses to leave the team due to unsatisfactory financial offers.

According to Turkish media reports, Amrabat received two offers from clubs in the Italian Serie A, but he rejected them after neither offer exceeded an annual salary of 2 million euros, while he currently earns 5 million euros annually with the Turkish team.

Despite being excluded from the technical plans, Amrabat is holding on to his contract with Fenerbahçe and shows no intention of leaving, which puts the club's management in a difficult position, especially as they are looking to reduce the wage bill and avoid financial losses.

Fenerbahçe signed Amrabat last season for a deal worth around 14 million euros, which included a mandatory purchase option, making his departure without compensation a risky gamble.
