Fenerbahçe Targets Signing Inter Milan Star

Press reports have stated that the agent of Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is currently in Istanbul to hold a meeting with Hakan Safi, a candidate for the presidency of Fenerbahce, who is also associated with the name of AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini.

Despite the recurring rumors linking Hakan Çalhanoğlu with a return to the Turkish league, an experience he has not had before, his potential association with Fenerbahçe is considered an unusual development in his career.

Çalhanoğlu is known to be a Galatasaray fan since his childhood, as he has never hidden his allegiance to the rival club of Fenerbahçe. Any possibility of his return to Turkey was linked to his desire to fulfill his dream of playing for his favorite club.

The Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu mentioned that the player's agent arrived in Istanbul to meet with Hakan Safi, the presidential candidate working on a project associated with Paolo Maldini.

It is noted that this development comes at a time when Hakan Safi is still merely a candidate for the presidency of Fenerbahçe, without confirmation of his victory or having official authority to conduct contractual negotiations.

On the other hand, Inter Milan does not seem to have any intention of letting go of Hakan Calhanoglu, especially after the tensions that accompanied last summer have subsided, and with the team continuing to achieve strong results domestically.
