The Palestinian Football Association issued an official statement this evening expressing its deep concern and regret regarding the unjustified media and public campaign against Wisam Abu Ali, the striker for the Palestinian national team and Al Ahly of Egypt, due to recent developments concerning his future with the red team.

The association confirmed in its statement that Wisam Abu Ali is considered a significant technical and national asset, and one of the prominent figures in the Palestinian national team, emphasizing his full commitment to Palestine and its jersey, as well as the level of discipline and professionalism that has earned him the trust of the coaching staff and Palestinian fans.

It also praised his distinguished performance with Al Ahly, especially in the recent FIFA Club World Cup, considering that any campaigns questioning his intentions or attacking his character and national identity are completely unacceptable.

The Palestinian Football Association called upon its Egyptian counterpart and its president, Hani Abu Rida, to intervene to protect the player from these campaigns, and also urged the management of Al Ahly to take responsibility in calming the atmosphere and defending their player, ensuring he is not left vulnerable to abuse regardless of the nature of any disagreements with him.

The association concluded its statement by wishing Wisam Abu Ali success in his upcoming career, expressing its appreciation for Al Ahly and its rich history, and wishing it further success in future competitions.
