Officially.. Appointment of Weiler as Head Coach of DC United
Today, DC United announced the appointment of Rene Weiler as the head coach of the team.
Weiler previously held the position of head coach for Al Ahly in Egypt from August 2019 to October 2020.
Weiler stated on the official website of DC United: "DC United is a team with a rich history and a huge fan base, the foundations built on this base have given me confidence and enthusiasm."
He added: "We still have a lot of work ahead, but I am fully committed to leading this team to the top and glory, and competing at the highest level in Major League Soccer."
