Revealing Enrique's Possible Penalty Following Club World Cup Final Events

Luis Enrique, the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain, faces the risk of being penalized by FIFA after being involved in a confrontation with Chelsea striker, João Pedro, following the 3-0 defeat in the Club World Cup final on Sunday, July 13.

The French newspaper "Le Parisien" revealed that Enrique pushed the player in a moment of tension on the field, in an unusual incident, which raised controversy about the possibility of FIFA's disciplinary committee taking punitive actions against him, especially since the referee did not issue a red card during the match.

According to the newspaper, Article 56.2 of FIFA's disciplinary code grants the committee the right to penalize any serious offense that was not detected during the match.

In the case of a conviction, Enrique could face a suspension of at least three matches, according to Article 14 of the same code, which imposes penalties for physical assaults against players or other parties.

The newspaper referenced a similar previous incident in January, when Oscar Garcia, the coach of Guadalajara, was suspended for three matches after assaulting James Rodriguez in the Mexican league, which could place Enrique in a similar position if convicted by FIFA's disciplinary committee.
