The Iraqi club Al-Zawraa officially announced its contract with star midfielder Mohamed Qassim coming from Al-Najaf Club, in one of the most prominent deals during the current summer transfer period, as part of the club's ambitious project to regain titles and restore its prestige in the local arena.

The signing of Mohamed Qassim represents a strong boost for Al-Nawaris, due to the player's high technical capabilities, extensive field experience, and ability to make a difference in the final third of the pitch, in addition to his exceptional vision and skillful ball handling under pressure.

Mohamed Qassim (27 years old) is considered one of the top midfielders in the Iraqi league in recent seasons, where he clearly excelled while wearing the Al-Najaf jersey, drawing attention with his precise passes, ability to control the pace of the game, and scoring and assisting goals in crucial situations. Many clubs wished to secure his services, but Al-Zawraa won the race and successfully attracted the player officially.

This deal comes as part of a series of serious moves by the Al-Zawraa club management to strengthen the team's ranks after seasons of fluctuating performance, as the management, led by nominated coach Abdul Ghani Shahed, seeks to build a squad capable of restoring the club's former glory locally and competing strongly for the title of the Iraqi Stars League, as well as the Iraq Cup.

Technical sources close to the team confirmed that Mohamed Qassim will be a key pillar in Al-Zawraa's midfield, joining a group that includes promising and distinguished names, and he could form a strong partnership with other expected signings, such as Amjad Attwan and Saad Natiq if negotiations are completed.
