Al-Hilal Opens Summer Transfer Market with Hernandez Deal
Al-Hilal Saudi Club has ignited the summer transfer deals early by officially signing French full-back Theo Hernandez, coming from AC Milan, in a deal lasting three years until the 2027-2028 season.
Hernandez, who is 27 years old, has had successful stints with major clubs such as Real Madrid, where he won the UEFA Champions League in 2018, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup. He also secured the Serie A title with Milan in 2022 and the Italian Super Cup in 2025.
In a related context, the Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that Al-Hilal has started negotiations with the agent of Italian striker Moise Kean from Fiorentina, in an attempt to strengthen their attacking line.
The newspaper confirmed that Al-Hilal has until next Tuesday to submit an official offer before the deadline for paying the buyout clause of 52 million euros in the contract of the former Juventus player.
Kean had previously rejected an enticing offer from Al-Qadisiyah in Saudi Arabia worth 15 million euros, prompting the latter to pursue another Italian, Matteo Retegui, from Atalanta.
The potential contract for Kean with Al-Hilal would extend until 2029 with an annual salary estimated at 20 million euros, but Al-Hilal faces competition from English club Manchester United, which is interested in acquiring his services.
