Shock at Renaissance Berkane: Yassine Labhiri Out Until the End of 2025 Due to ACL Tear
Saturday 12-07-2025
The Moroccan club Renaissance Berkane has received a significant blow as it begins preparations for the new season, following confirmation that its star player Yassine Labhiri has suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the decisive match against Olympique Safi in the Throne Cup final.

Labhiri sustained the injury after a strong tackle from player Abdelghafour Lamirates, leaving the field visibly in pain, before detailed examinations revealed a complete tear of the ACL in his knee, which is one of the most serious injuries that can sideline players for long periods.

The medical staff of Renaissance Berkane confirmed that the injury requires surgical intervention, which will take place in the coming days, after which the player will undergo a rehabilitation period that may last from four to six months.

This injury comes at a critical time, as Labhiri is one of the team's most important players, and the coaching staff was counting on him to lead Renaissance Berkane in the African Champions League and Moroccan league competitions. However, it is now certain that he will be absent until the end of this year, including the African group stage and important local matches.

Labhiri's absence is a painful blow for the orange team, especially as he is the team's playmaker and its beating heart, and his absence could be a decisive factor in the club's ambitions this season.
