Brentford Rejects Nottingham Forest's Offer for Wissa
Brentford rejected an official offer from Nottingham Forest to sign their striker Yoane Wissa during the current summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.
The network clarified that Nottingham Forest renewed its interest in signing Wissa since last January, having made an initial offer of £25 million, which was turned down. The club later returned with a lower offer, but it was also rejected, as Brentford insists on receiving around £50 million to part with their player.
Wissa, who is 28 years old, remains on Nottingham Forest's radar, but Brentford is unwilling to let him go, especially with the possibility of his teammate Bryan Mbeumo leaving for Manchester United, although no agreement has been reached yet.
It is worth noting that Wissa joined Brentford from French club Lorient in August 2021, and he has one year left on his contract with an option to extend for an additional season.
