The Saudi Al-Hilal team was eliminated from the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup after losing 2-1 to the Brazilian team Fluminense in the match held on Friday evening in the Round of 16.

After the end of the match, cameras captured some Al-Hilal players, most notably Yassine Bounou and Ruben Neves, attacking the referee due to his officiating decisions in the match, the most notable of which was the cancellation of a penalty kick in favor of the team.

A video clip circulated on the X platform showing Al-Hilal striker Malcom getting into a verbal altercation with the Al-Hilal fans present in the stands, before some players intervened to calm things down.

For his part, coach Simone Inzaghi urged the players to salute the fans who supported the team during their journey in the tournament, and he supported some players who were in a bad state after being eliminated from the tournament.
