Fluminense achieved victory over Al-Hilal with a score of 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup, in a match held today, Friday, at the Camp Nou World Stadium.

The Brazilian team will play in the semifinals against the winner of the Palmeiras vs. Chelsea match, which will take place early Saturday.

Fluminense took the lead in the 41st minute through Matheus Martinelli after Cancelo mistakenly cleared the ball, allowing it to reach the Fluminense player who passed it to Martinelli, who then shot it into the net.

The referee awarded a penalty kick in favor of Al-Hilal, but it was canceled after consulting the video technology. In the 51st minute, Marcos Leonardo scored the equalizer for Al-Hilal after a corner kick followed by a header from Koulibaly that reached Leonardo, who shot it into the goal.

Fluminense scored a second goal through Herkles Pereira after a ball reached him, and he entered the penalty area and shot the ball into the net of goalkeeper Bono in the 70th minute.
