Napoli's New Move to Secure Nunez Deal
Italian media reports have confirmed that Napoli has begun serious steps to sign Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, who plays for English club Liverpool, during the summer transfer window.
According to "Corriere Dello Sport," Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, held a direct meeting with Valy Ramadani, the player's agent, to discuss the details of the potential deal.
The newspaper pointed out that Nunez, who is 25 years old, is open to the idea of moving to Napoli, which makes agreeing on personal terms unlikely to be a barrier to finalizing the deal.
However, Napoli has not yet reached an agreement with Liverpool regarding the financial value of the deal, as the English club is asking for around €60 million, while the Italian club hopes to finalize the deal for an amount closer to €50 million, with hesitation in exceeding €43 million as an initial offer.
It is worth mentioning that Nunez participated in 47 matches with Liverpool last season, scoring 7 goals and providing 7 assists.
