Burnley announces the signing of Frenchman Lome Chaouna
Burnley Football Club has officially announced the signing of young French winger Lome Chaouna, coming from Lazio in Italy, in a deal valued at around £12 million.
Chaouna, who is 21 years old, has signed a four-year contract with Burnley, marking the start of a new adventure in the Premier League after having played 130 matches in the Italian and French leagues (both first and second divisions).
The player expressed his happiness after signing the contract, saying: "It's a great proud day for me to sign for this special club. I spoke with the coach during the Under-21 European Championship this summer, and it was an excellent conversation that made me realize I want to be here."
Chaouna indicated his eagerness to start the new season and play in front of Burnley fans, while Lazio retained 10% of the value of any future transfer for the player as part of the deal.
