Saudi Dhamak Club has officially announced its contract with Portuguese coach Armando Evanghelista to lead the team following the departure of national coach Khaled Al-Attwi, in preparation for the upcoming season of the Professional League.

The announcement was made through a brief statement published by the club on its official account on the 'X' platform, which included a video showcasing the coach's key moments in his previous career.

The club did not disclose the duration of the contract or details of the deal, merely indicating that the coach will steer the team after a difficult season that nearly led the team to relegation.

Dhamak finished last season in fourteenth place, just two points away from the first relegation spot, which prompted the management to seek a coach with European experience.

Evanghelista is 51 years old and has previously coached several Portuguese teams, most notably Vitoria Guimarães, and is known for his balanced approach between defense and attack.

Dhamak's management hopes that the new coach will restore stability to the team and lead it to a safe position away from the specter of relegation in the upcoming season.
