Sayed Mowad: The Penalty for Trezeguet Should Have Been Unannounced
Sayed Mowad, the former Al Ahly star, stated that the penalty imposed on Mahmoud Trezeguet, the player of the red team, should have been unannounced as it affected the player.
Mowad said on MBC Masr channel: "There was a mistake by the Al Ahly delegation in announcing Trezeguet's penalty to the media after the match against Inter Miami."
He added: "The announcement of Trezeguet's penalty affected the player and put him under great pressure in the match against Palmeiras."
He concluded: "The penalty should be internal and not announced."
Al Ahly lost to Palmeiras with a score of 2-0 in the second round of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
