The management of Real Madrid is approaching the renewal of the contract of Moroccan winger Ibrahim Diaz, as confirmed by local and international media reports.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed via his official account on the platform 'X' that negotiations between Real Madrid and Ibrahim Diaz have reached advanced stages, with discussions ongoing for about two weeks, and an agreement has been reached to extend the contract for the next 5 years.

Diaz joined Real Madrid in January 2019 from Manchester City for 17 million euros and spent several seasons on loan at AC Milan between 2020 and 2023.

Diaz's current contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2027, and the renewal comes at a time when the royal club is preparing to start its journey in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup currently taking place in the United States.
